brrr...today so far...
today was another cold day, though the sun would occasionally peep out from behind the clouds and blind us all with its rays, but not warm us. -.-;;
i feel tired so now i'm staring at the screen kinda blankly. oh yeah. anyway. monday mornings. i hate monday mornings, when i have to get up at 7am to go for my 8am lecture which was only an hour. and apparently we reached there so early that the campus security hadn't even unlocked the door. *roll eyes*
on the way to uni we were almost knocked over by strong winds. at one point i even put up my hoodie and closed the damn umbrella because the small umbrella was just too fragile against the strong winds. it was crazy. so yeah, reached campus, sat in an hour lecture, filled with things that i mostly know, then it was off to the first long class of the day; jrn215 TV News. whoohooo. _ _;;
we picked our group for the major tv news assignment today, as usual, it was me, jess and nita. duh. now the only problem is to decide a topic for the assignment and nita wanted to do something with animals. we'll see. not only that, we had to endure more than an hour with the lecturer yammering away and us taking notes...and for break, we had to go to the tv studio to learn how to use the camera. whoooo like we don't already know but this camera is different so yeah we had to go to that workshop...i think we stand out too much, because lecturers or whoever, they just like to pick on us. right after the guy said not to adjust the tripod's height leg by leg, the 3 of us were doing exactly that. well, the method he taught was of course effective and all that shit, but hey, it was too high for us short asian girls, okay. so of course we did one by one, and relax, we've doing that all our ftv studies life. so there you go. at least we know the tripod is balanced by looking at the bubble to see if it was in the circle, right? and of course we just had to have the sound equipment with the wonky earphones, so i couldn't get much from the sound department. oh well. after that it was back to class in the freezing rain, dammit. more rambles later, we finally could get the crap out of class.
where we went to the clinic with nita to book her appointment then to the cafeteria for lunch. it was so full of people, we had to share a table with some random guy sitting by himself. not cute, so yeah. i brought my own food when jess and nita brought over their cafeteria trays and i went o.O because between the 2 of them, they had 4 bottles of ice lemon tea, 1 green tea and 1 red bull. -.-;; later on, our friend Jet joined us and we proceeded to make the time move faster by telling lame jokes (nita) and just generally chitchatting. i think Jet was so bored, he actually followed us when we accompanied nita to the clinic (with 3 of us in the reception area reading magazines -.-;;). after that it was to the bookshop for another 20 minutes of time wasting. lol.
finally it was the damn final class of the day, ftv243 scriptwriting tutorial. sigh. i feel bad because we take it for granted since we've done the following module before, but please don't blame us. the first group showed their corporate documentary presentation and it was just full of info on what is a corporate documentary that i went o.O hoping we don't have to do shit like that for ours due in week8. Jet and Nita's up for next week, so yeah. -.-;; i still haven't found a corporate documentary that i like (or can actually dl and watch -.-;;) and i really want to present one (with jess) on something to do with Korean entertainment which will be such a breeze to explain. although the lecturer said we had to get one from our country, but screw it, jess and i hope we're from South Korea anyway. it's damn hard to find it on google, i don't get it. don't any bloody companies in korea have corporate documentaries (ahemSMentertainmentahem). gah. anyway, today's group presentation was a bit meh, since i didn't like the documentary they chose. nothing special but here they emphasise on 'positive comments' so there we were, trying to give them something to make them happy. but there was this guy shooting his mouth off the whole time. so annoying.
also we got into groups for this one. poor Jet, again he was left out from our group. lol. and then he started to tell his new group the same ideas we talked about for supposedly our group. oh well.
just checked my email and apparently the damn real estate people said i'm behind in my rent. which my stupid mind keeps calculating and i'm sure i'm not behind. anyway will just wait for their reply mail and see what it says. and the rent went up by 5bucks per week, now it's going to be $120 per week, bloody hell. how am i supposed to spend on yesasia now? ciskek.
anyway today...i remember i laughed a lot thanks to nita. and there's supposed to be a funny joke, and she kept laughing when she told us, but it wasn't that funny afterall XD but funniest was in FTV tutorial and the lecturer was asking us to describe our feelings when or after meeting the client...and jess of course went "feelings~" (you know, the song...) and nita continued with "cicak on the ceiling~", man, the 3 of us + Jet went nuts and kept laughing.
evil empires forum is down. wtf. where am i supposed to go for my daily manga fix? gah. and bloody hell, blogskins acting up again. wahhhh
i hope i receive my yesasia stuff soon. i keep saying that so it's probably never going to come anytime soon but yeah.
and oh yeah, i'm going to cross the bridge to terabithia off my book list because it's damn freaking thin wtf. i'm not going to waste my money. might as well watch the dvd. must find time to watch 300 because jess has the dvd! but i'm so lazy to watch movies, normally. sigh. and i call myself an FTV student. gah. i still have a bunch of movies on journalism and what not to watch...oh man...if only i have two screens/two laptops/1 laptop with super fast speed+ screen XD
