day five and six...and seven...and LAST DAY in shanghailet's see...
DAY 5 - we went to jinmao tower in the morning to take pictures of the shanghai view during the day...but fail because the weather was so foggy we couldn't see nuts
afterwards it was another trip to the expo but we skipped harhar! went shopping @ nanjing east road and i don't have any pictures :D because i was still half dead at that day after the tower trip and the expo trip ohmylegs.
my dad took a picture of the hollow jinmao tower where you can see hyatt hotel in concentric circles in the tower and look down to the piano bar on the 56th floor or something. i'll dig for it later. i don't have a clear picture of it because....I'M SCARED OF HEIGHTS LA. how can i possibly stand on the ledge thing and look down.
ps. i super hate it when you're freaking scared of heights and some idiot pushes you towards the edge of the scary hollow tower. i don't give a shit if there's 100 layers of bulletproof glass or shatterproof glass and it's safe or whatever. i don't give a shit if you're my parent or whatever but i will shout at you and i will curse at you in public. no joke. i don't have a serious case of acrophobia but it's enough to make my legs weak and my head dizzy so DON'T DO IT. assholes.
that said, day 5 was over and we move on!
DAY 6 - finally we went to the sun yat sen memorial which was supposed to be a day 2 trip on our itinerary but whatever. it was interesting (i like history when i don't have to memorise it and spit it back out on an exam sheet) but...as usual too many people and there was a second tour group squeezing in with us...with a very asshole teenage bokasi from China boy blocking everyone's view by planting himself right in front of the display case whenever the memorial guide was explaining. asshole hope you rot. yes by this time i was sick of humans and i wanted to crawl back into my cave.
after this was another tourist trap place...this time it was jade. after listening to some crack explanation on fengshui we escaped and sat waiting for ages fol but i got to talk to people my age group aka 19yoexpodude and 20+yomarketingdude lol. we had lunch at the attached restaurant and jjengjjeng when we went up we found out that we actually had lunch there earlier during day 2 or 3. MECHA FAIL.
and after lunch we went to chenghuangmiao where we had xiaolongbao and tangbaos. :D it was so so...i don't know the standard but it wasn't enough to whet my appetite or make me full...the xiao long bao were tiny and we shared 1 steamer basket so yeah...not shiok
DAY 7 HIHO free day before we went back to brunei. some people chartered a bus and went to Suzhou but we went shoppeng! at nanjing west road where i was supposed to look for Sogo but i fail for not noting down the full address because who knew the Chinese couldn't even speak English well enough to know what the hell is SOGO?! suan le we walked up and down and even walked from one station to another damn lihai liddat.

UNIQLO!!!!! I bought 3 tops and sogoked mama to buy something so i could get a canvas bag MWAHA in all fairness i didn't put a gun to her head and forced her to buy. i was 2 yuan off (I KNOW 2 YUAN ONLY GAWD nothing costs 2 yuan la in uniqlo) so i had resigned myself to just getting the paper bag but when i told mama i got scolded and she offered to buy something...so yeah...which brings me to another annoying human trait like for fuck's sakes if you don't want to do anything just say so. like why the hell must you put it on other people's heads??

anyway RANT. and here's a pic of uniqlo. i should've taken a pic of the rainbow color tshirt wall but...too excited honestly. lol
after shoppeng we went to xintiandi where we had dintaifung yay but oddly enough i don't seem to have a pic of the xiaolongbao we ate...hrrr we also had noodles but aiyah common only la it was the xlb that mattered and they were delicious T_T but we only had one steamer basket. i looked on enviously at a mother and daughter pair at the next table they had 2 steamer baskets T_T
big doggie back at nanjing west road near the MRT. papa escaped to buy dumplings so mama and i waited. O.O the doggie was quite tame though. he/she sat nicely at his/her owner's feet and let numerous people pet him/her. needless to say this picture was taken from very far away and zoomed near maximum lol
and at night, the best meal we've had in shanghai. simple and nice. i don't have most of the pictures; they're in my dad's camera but lazy to dig right now. i do have a picture of the huge katsudon...ohmygod pork cutlet is the best. nicely done and juicy on the inside the sauce was super flavourful in a good way and the egg was nice and soft. drool like mad guarantee cannot find this anywhere in malaysia and brunei d la fml
LAST DAY IN SHANGHAI we fly back on this day itself but morning we had a trip to the science and technology museum which i would liked to have more time walking by myself reading up on all the technology history BOOOOOOOOO but there was no time
and this is what i've basically eaten for my breakfast for 7 days straight. sausages, 2 slices of bread, an egg and occasionally a slice of ham. fail.
and now i'm back in brunei and this time around next monday/tuesday i'll be back in KL and my holiday will be over.
